We Fun is a documentary about the indie music scene in Atlanta, GA circa 2007. It was made with my longtime friends Matthew Robison (director) and Geoffrey Leek (producer). I was director of photography and editor.
We spent a year shooting in basements, dive bars, homes, alleys, and dank clubs. All of the musicians that participated (including Black Lips, Deerhunter, Mastodon , King Khan & The Shrines) gave us access to their lives with no limitations. What they all have in common is the commitment to relentless touring and creative autonomy.
During the editing process I became a believer. The mental freedom they all possess is infectious. All of the bands honestly do it for the love of music.
After an up and down journey with film festivals we finally got a distributor through MVD earlier this year. CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE WE FUN.
We hope you enjoy it.
